A notebook made out of an old "Rowney Victoria" pencil box and paper from 1960s exercise books rests half open on the marbled paper cover of a school book belonging to a Phyllis Hill. The label reads "General Knowledge." Phyllis' exercise book in turn rests on the surface of a leather-backed blotter which used to be part of a writing case. Fragments of paper, fragments of stories.
"Good luck" wishes the antique Myers & Son brass paper clip dating from 1901.
The "Mura" label at the bottom remains unwritten. What comprises general knowledge?
Whose brain is roomy enough to acquire it?
